Ten Principles of Knowledge Creation in Open Source Community
Organizational contextual is good for knowledge creation and the essence of Open Source community builds a favorable knowledge sharing environment and improves knowledge creation accordance with Nonakas knowledge creation enabling conditions. And ten knowledge creation principles of software development in Open Source community from both bazaar development and agile development are educed. They are selforganizing, code sharing, adaption, usability, sustention, talent, interaction, collaboration, happiness and democracty. Comparing and contrasting with traditional software development, software development in Open Source community has three features and advantages in knowledge sharing, knowledge conversion and knowledge acquisition etc. Finally, ten principles effectiveness is illustrated with Apache server case study.
