The Adoption of Knowledge Management Systems: An Organizational Citizenship Behavior Perspective
Knowledge management systems are becoming more important nowadays. Even though there is a lot of deployments, some evidence show that the actual usage is not high and the effectiveness of such systems is questioned. This paper reviews the background of current theories in understanding adoption of knowledge management systems (KMS). By characterizing knowledge sharing behaviors as a forM of organizational citizenship behavior, a new model of knowledge management system adoption is proposed.
