Opening Address by GEF

Distinguished colleagues and supporters of the PRCGEF Partnership on Land Degradation in Dryland Ecosystems Program; In April 2008, the GEF Council endorsed the second phase of the PRC-GEF Partnership on Land Degradation in Dryland Ecosystems Program. Following a successful and experience-rich first phase of this partnership program, I am very pleased and proud to provide my continuous support to this important joint investment by the GEF and the Government of China.
