Implementing GEF Objectives in a Systems Framework in Western China

摘要：

The World Bank/GEF project operates in Gansu and Xinjiang. It deals mainly with grazed rangelands and has several objectives relating to improving livelihoods and achieving sustainable use of rangelands. It is the first of the large scale projects under the PRC/GEF partnership. Lessons drawn from this project are outlined.
