The Fusion of QFD and Nezt Generation PLM in the Stage of Product Planning
This proposal indicates the methodology that can plan and design the Good selling and innovative product under the fusion of QFD and next generation PLM in the product planning stage. In order to plan the Good selling product, it would be necessary to imagine and design a future User Experience. In the Scene Deployment stage of QFD, they can have the same understanding with persons from various disciplines, using not only the information by the sentences but also by the interactive 3D virtual model. Moreover, they can review the scene deployment much closer to the real situation. As a result, they can perform the innovative product planning activities to facilitate the creation of new idea. Considering another benefit of the fusion of QFD and PLM in the stage of product planning, it would be feasible to raise the success rate of sales to provide the virtual user experiences using 3D model through internet. After that, by capturing the product definition and criteria deployed by QFD into PLM, it would be possible to introduce the new product to the field very quickly.
