QFD: Design Training Course for Clothing Merchandisers in Hong Kong
This paper is aimed to apply QFD to develop a training course for providing the merchandisers of a clothing buying office with the required industrial knowledge to perform two important sourcing tasks-fabric sourcing and vendor sourcing. The focus will be made on the operational design of the QFd application for addressing the performance requirements of multiple tasks and organizing the identified subject areas into one coherent curriculum. We hope this case study could provide the industrial training practitioners with a greater understanding on how to effectively apply QFD to curriculum development and course design.
