Properties of Value for the Design of Products
This research marked as aim to determine the number of properties that can be recognized, identified or expressed by a user being or not expert in some product, the result to be applied to the methodologies that determine the needs of the clients and requirements of engineering, to improve and to diminish the cycle of product design. The research was performed in a sample (n=56) you present with an average of 28.1 years of age. An instrument of survey developed with 130 questions on five objects with seven common variables: use and additional uses of the object; parts and materials; properties that please and that have called the attention; finally you mark of manufacturers of the object or product. The results showed that the average of answers for person is, for four of the objects and, for one of them. In the analysis of two samples some variances are statistically equal, but different between all of them with test F realized. One concludes of this study that the average of the number of properties identified for a definite variable is between three and four with a light variation according to the object about which it treats itself and the number of properties and attributes that shape it. This result allows constructing the concept of Properties of Value and Levels of Value in which it is possible to locate an object or product to be analyzed and developed in later stages of the development of products.
