Mechanisms of Underground Water Acting on Coalbed Methane System in the Fuzin Basin

Hydrodynamics conditions of the underground water are major factor restricting the coalbed methane reservoirs and coalbed methane geochemistry. Study has proved that when Hydrodynamics equilibrium of internal and external of coal-bed methane system is maintained, the coalbed methane is sealed by water; when internal Hydrodynamics of the system is stronger than external Hydrodynamics, coalbed methane is migrated or run away and carbon isotope of methane becomes lighter; when internal Hydrodynamics of the system is weaker than external Hydrodynamics, the coalbed methane is blocked by underground water. When external hydrodynamics of the coalbed methane systeM is stronger than the internal or when hydrodynamics equilibrium is maintained inside or outside the system within the syncline or monocline, coalbed methane reservoirs are provided with favorable conditions for exploration and development.
