Research on the New FRP Bolt & its Application

The paper introduces a new structure of FRP bolt Its structure characters are as follows; FRP rod is straight with constant section; the FRP rod is wound with the torsional reinforced tendon; FRP bolt-end structure adopts metal sleeve-circumferential indentation. The new FRP bolt performance is studied by tailor-made drawing experiment platform. The authors have the tension experiment of FRP bolt and eccentric load experiment It is found that the maximal anti-drawing force reaches 86kN, its elongation percentage is 2.6% and the maximal antidrawing force still reaches 76kN under eccentric load. Experiments shows that anti-drawing strength and elongation percentage of the new FRP bolt reach and exceed national criterion; further more the new FRP bolt has the anti-eccentric-borken capacity; It is fit for coal side supporting in stead of metal bolt and timber bolt etc. Taking Kangjiatan mine 88301 gateway supporting as engineering instance, the author has the numerical simulation research on FRP bolt coal side supporting to determine reasonable supporting parameter on the basis of 88301 face geological conditions. The new FRP bolt is applied to gateway supporting and supporting effect is fine.
