Genetic Mechanism of Mine Geothermal Damage in Songji Structural Zone

Songji tectonic zone has distribution of all strata which were relatively well developed. Multi-stage tectonic formed the regional E-W structural line and two depressions holding an uplift structural pattern, i. e. with Kaifeng depression locating at north and Zhoukou depression locating at south, Songji uplift and its eastern extension (including concealed Taikang uplift and Yongxia fault-uplift etc.) situate at the center. Permian in Songji structural area contains the major workable 2-1 coal seam, which is under mining by large coal corporations in Zhengzhou, Yuzhou, Yongcheng and Shenhuo. Threatening mine safety and coal production, high temperature thermal damage presents during mining activities at various level and mine. With comprehensive analysis of five dominating factors, such as geophysical features, structure, covering thickness, underground migration and igneous rock, the author detailedly studied the genetic mechanisM of thermal field in Songji area, classified the origin of high temperature thermal damage and made relevant predictions, provided a support for the future mine production, safety and design.
