Study of Decision Support System Based on On-Line Analytical Mining
A new conception that On line Analytical Mining, OLAM for short, is the merger of OLAP and DM, M is the kernel and OLAP ensures that M can perforM correctly is presented, based on current researches and aimed at applying in practice. A new compound architecture based on B/S and C/S is put forward so as to integrate DSS with OLAM more close and serve decision more safely. OLAP and DM exist as two components in the compound architecture. Two OLAM engines that based on C/S and B/S are introduced to respond to users different requests. After integrating DSS with OLAM, DSS can be more adaptive and more friendly, DSS can relieve such difficulties faced in practice as assisting decision not roundly, human-computer interaction not amicably, flows too complex to understand, demands too strict to master, system too closed to extend, etc, and DSS can provide for decision makers with fast, effective and heuristic technical support.
