Safety Climate Compare Between China Coalmine and Outstanding International Organization
The generally characteristic of outstanding safety enterprises includes leaders regarding and participating, harmonious hierarchical relationship, employee participating in safety positively, steady work team, safety professionals with high social status, and effective safety approaches. Furthermore, abundant cases illustrate 7 effective approaches: (a)safety value, (b) excellent organizational safety culture, (c) effective OHSMS, (d) challenging safety objectives, (e) structure modification method (legislation, administration, association, economics, etc.), (f) Behavior-based Safety, (g) ergonomics, and (h) regarding employees safety in 360°. A set of safety climate survey questionnaires are designed, and the safety climate of an underground coalmine are studied. By contrasting the correlative data to those of outstanding international enterprises, the author concludes that the coalmine can improve safety through 7 aspects, that is safety belief, front-line responsible, quality and effect of safety meeting, unsafe behavior corrected, off-job safety, education/train, and authorization. The study oriented a way to world-class safety for china coalmine.
