Study of GPS Vehicle Navigation Location Based on GIS Technology
With the rapid economic development of cities, the increasing number of motor vehicles, that results in growing urban traffic, frequent traffic jams bring great inconvenience to people travel, at the same time, because of the blocked traffic, the probability of traffic accidents occurrence is increasing, and that is bad influencing on people travel safety, the decrease of transportation results in the enormous economic losses of state, the vehicle navigation & Location System as an important component of the Intelligent Transportation SysteM (ITS) is be imminently required, which is the key of achieving the intelligent management of the road. This paper detailedly analyzes and introduces the method of the GPS/DR combination location, map matching, the basic principles of GPS/DR/MM combination location and locating process. And using Microsoft Visual C ++ as development tools to achieve the GPS data extraction. Finally we use MapInfo to achieve the integration of GIS technology and the GPs data, in order to make Location information be displayed in the form of graphics in map and provide traffic routes to the destinations on the optimal path.
