Analysis on the Accuracy of GPS Monitoring to Open-Pit Deformation
The geological hazards, such as landslides, dilapidation, deformation, instability, debris flow, subsidence, etc., is one of the most hidden peril effecting safety and production in open-pits, that results from the integrated infections including geological structure, lithology, water, underground and opencast mining, interior dumping, blasting vibration, equipment dynamic load and other factors. Therefore it is an important research problem to monitor the deformations of open-pit side-slop efficiently and precisely. Various GPS methods are applied in the detailed surveys according to different demands and typical site. Aiming at various sources of GPS static positioning, both absolute and relative positioning methods are applied to test the factors that influence the precision of GPs positioning in open-pits, at same time the PDOP value and the accuracy of coordinates transformation are considered. Finally some practical conclusions about the static relative positioning accuracy when GPs single frequency receivers are used in minefields are put forward.
