The Influence of Horizontal Distance Between Floor Roadway and Upper Coal Pillar on Stability of Surrounding Rock

Based on the actual geological condition of south raise in ChaiLi mine, the characteristic and evolution process of the surrounding rock stress, characteristic of displacement around the floor roadway and the relation between deformation of roadway and horizontal distance from upper coal pillar was analyzed, the results show that the stress distribution in floor terrane is the direct reflection of abutment stress on roof; The displacement of roadway is acted by concentrated stress above coal wall and floor unloading, the surrounding rock displacement of roadway not only decided by abutment pressure on the coal pillar, it is influenced greatly by the whole displacement induced by mining; The displacement of surrounding rock under the influenced of mining decided by horizontal distance between roadway and upper coal pillar except the value of abutment stress induced by upper mining; The roadway should be located at initial stress area or under stress-relaxed area, and terminal line of working face will be enough away from roadway. It have quantitative relation between deformation of surrounding rock and horizontal distance of roadway and upper coal pillar under given geological condition.
