Fuzzy Cluster Analysis of Slope Stability
Slope stability criterion has important practical and economic significance in surface coal mine. At present, a-nalysis methods of studying failure mechanism of slope deformation and judging slope stability are induced to two classes, which are deterministic approaches and nondeterministic approaches. In this paper, the author adopts fuzzy clustering analytical method included in nondeterministic approaches. Five key factors affecting slope stability such as slope height, slope angle, cohesion, angle of internal friction, angle of structural plane are chosen as clustering indexes. Slope stability is divided into four grades based on field notes, experiment and engineering practice. 16 representative slopes of different stability grades are chosen for sample space according to a lot of interior field data. And then fuzzy equivalent matrix and fuzzy e-quivalent matrix are established. The result reflects degree of stability of slope actually by classifying stability of exploratory slopes using fuzzy clustering analysis. It shows that the method applied to engineering may save a lot of time, has reliable theoretical basis and provide reference to projects.
