STUDY OF THE EFFICIENCY OF FLOTATION DEINKING USING A NEW TYPE OF FLOATATION CELL
Flotation deinking of old book paper and old magazine was studied in a new type of laboratory flotation device with a special aeration system which was designed by our group. Effects of pulp flow rate, the volume ratio of air and pulp, pulp consistency and other factors on deinked pulp qualities were investigated. Brightness gain and ERIC reduction were used to evaluate flotation efficiency. Analysis of the experimental results was not only used to establish the optimum flotation conditions of this device but also regarded as the basis of improving and magnifying this type of flotation equipment.
