EFFECT OF SODIUM HYDROXIDE DOSAGE ON RELEASE OF DISSOLVED AND COLLOIDAL SUBSTANCES DURING REPULPING OF ONP
Effect of sodium hydroxide dosage on the release of dissolved and colloidal substances during the repulping of ONP was investigated in the paper. GC and HPLC analysis indicated that the amounts of carbohydrates, lipophilic extractives and synthetic polymers increased with the increasing of the sodiuM hydroxide dosage. The amounts of dissolved and colloidal substances varied slowly as sodiuM hydroxide dosage ranged from 0.5% to 2.0%, whereas the amount of dissolved carbohydrates increased significantly as the dosage of sodium hydroxide above 2.0%. The main glycosyls in water phase were glucose, xylose, galactose and arabinose. The content of resin acids was much higher than that of fatty acids, and the fatty acids were rich in hexadecanoic acid and 11-Oleic acid, while the resin acids had high content of dehydroabietic and abietic.
