EFFECT OF DCS OF BCTMP ON THE STABILITY AND DEPOSITABILITY OF SECONDARY STICKIES IN DEINKED PULP
Pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSAs) was used as a model substance of the secondary stickies in waste paper recycling, and the effect of the dissolved and colloidal substance (DCS) and dissolved substance (DS) in BCTMP on the stability and depositability of secondary stickies was studied. The results showed that cationic polymers led to the destabilization of secondary stickies, and DCS and DS of BCTMP could stability the secondary stickes, but they could cause more stickies deposits. It was believed that the anionic trash in DCS and DS lowered the efficiency of cationic polymers and the destabilized secondary stickies could not be adsorbed to the fibers, so the destabilized secondary with high stickiness such as PSAs from waste paper tended to aggregate with other contaminants to deposit.
