MODIFICATION OF NONYLPHENOL POLYOXYETHYLENE ETHER AND APPLICATION OF THE MODIFIED PRODUCT IN DEINKING OF RECYCLED FIBER
Nonylphenol polyoxyethylene ester (NPEO) was modified by aminosulfonic acid and phosphorus pentoxide. The optimum molar ratio of phosphorus pentoxide (P2O5) and sulfonamic acid (NH2SO3H) to nonylphenol polyoxyethylene ester in synthesis process was studied. The foam properties of the nonylphenol polyoxyethylene phosphoric ester (NPPE) and nonylphenol polyoxyethylene sulfuric ester (NPSE)were characterized, and the application of the two modified product in the deinking of old newsprint (ONP) was also investigated. The surface activity e.g. foaming property, foam strength, wetting property of the modified product had a proper change contrasted to nonylphenol polyoxyethylene ester, and the variability would benefit the improvement of the efficiency of deinking and the quality of the deinked pulp.
