AN IMPROVED COMPUTER AIDED COLOR-MATCHING METHOD FOR LINERBOARD
The color of linerboard not only depends on the color of top ply, but also depends on the color of the second ply. In order to improve the accuracy and efficiency of color-matching for linerboard, an improved computer-aided color-matching method, which is deduced from the Stokes equation, is introduced to describe the relationship of the color among the top ply, the second ply and linerboard. During coloration of linerboard, it is found that the scattering coefficient of linerboard is almost unchanged, and the ratio of absorption coefficient to scattering coefficient is proportional to the dyeing concentration, thus color-matching problem for linerboard is usually solved by the Kubelka-Munk Single Constant Theory. Results of the improved color-matching method is compared with experimental results, it is found that the method is reasonable and effective for color-matching of linerboard.
