STUDY OF COATING RHEOLOGICAL PROPERTIES OF COLOR INK JET PAPER
In this paper, the effect of concentration on rheological properties of SiO2 dispersion and effect of dosage of PVA (polyvinyl alcohol), fixing agent and lubricant on viscoelastic properties of ink jet paper coating are discussed. Results show that the action among SiO2 particles become stronger and SiO2 dispersion shows stronger solid properties, when concentration is higher. With the increase of PVa dosage and fixing agent dosage, the elastic properties of coating enhances, but the increase extent and interaction mechanism is not the same. The three-dimensional microstructure formed by PVA and coating components has low strength and is easily destroyed when stress is imparted to. The network structure formed by fixing agent and other coating components is irreversible and strong, and shows greater properties of resisting shear stress. Lubricant has little effect on initial storage modulus of coating and can benefit for the flowability of microstructure of coating.
