A SEMI-INDUSTRIAL PILOT FOR PAPER MILLS TREATMENT IMPROVEMENT: AN INNOVATIVE CONCEPTION
This paper deals with the design of a wastewater treatment pilot plant, suitable for industrial scaling up. The chosen biological treatment is activated sludge process, equipped with a supervisory system including many sensors and an industrial supervisor. Real effluent treatment was carried out leading to similar efficiency than that obtained in the reference paper mill waste water treatment plant. Finally the first application of the design of a cooperative supervision system for operator decision support is shortly presented.
