A Backstepping Approach to Output Regulation of Magnetic Levitation Systems
This paper addresses an output regulation problem of magnetic levitation system. The magnetic levitation system under consideration is nonlinear with respect to its variables. The state space model of the magnetic levitation system is established by defining the air-gap,velocity of the levitated object and current as the state variables. The problem of the output regulation of magnetic levitation system is to design a controller such that all signals of the resulting closed-loop system are bounded and the air-gap of the levitated object asymptotically approaches to a given value. The output regulation problem of magnetic levitation system is solved by model transformation and backstepping approach.Simulation shows that the maglev controller developed has a good dynamic performance.
