Electricity generation from corn stover in microbial fuel cells
In air-cathode microbial fuel cells (MFCs),electricity was generated using raw corn stover solely as substrate.Repeatable power outputs of 296 ± 35 mW/m2 was observed (1 kΩ.) when a saccharification bacterial culture (H-C) was added in a glucose and domestic wastewater pre-acclimated MFC,and the maximum power density of 331 mW/m2 was obtained by varying external resistance.
