A novel approach of preparing Fe-doped TiO2 films at low temperature and its application in photocatalytic degradation of methyl orange

1. Introduction Recently, the use of HO2 thin film for the purpose of solving environmental issue has emerged. Compared to powder TiO2 particles, immobilized T1O2 films are more promising in practical applications, especially in water treatment 1. Conventional methods to prepare TiO2 thin films can be classified into three categories: gas-phase preparation 2, liquid-phase preparation 2 and electrochemical preparation 2. The preparation of TiO2 film with photocatalytic function by electrochemical methods is conventionally accomplished through electro-deposition followed by calcination at high temperature 3.
