Characterization and performance of ferric-cerium hydrozide adsorbent for phosphate removal
1. Introduction Phosphorus has been recognized as the main reason of accelerating the process of eutrophication of lakes, bays and inland seas. The removal of phosphorus from wastewater becomes important for releasing eutrophication. It has been recently reported that some rare-earth hydroxides achieve high phosphate adsorption capacity. In this paper, novel complex Fe-Ce hydroxides adsorbent (CFA) was described from its synthetic method, characters and performance, to its effective mechanism.
