Degradation Characteristics of Bacillus fusiformis

摘要：

1.Introduction In this study, Bacillus fusiformis (BFN) isolated from the sludge in oil refining wastewater plant has never been reported to biodegrade naphthalene. However, new finding in this study is that Bacillus fusiformis BFN could effectively biodegrade naphthalene. Thus, the optimal degradation conditions of naphthalene using strain BFN were examined. Further, the absorbance and pH of mineral medium containing other aromatic hydrocarbons were measured in order to demonstrate that Bacillus fusiformis could also degrade other PAHs.
