Effect of CPAM and Fentons reagent on sludge dewatering

1. Background At present, the volume of wet sludge produced in china is up to 4.5 million tons with an annual growth rate of 15%. It would generate 8.4 million tons sludge (dry weight) if all the urban sewage was treated, accounting for 3.2% of the total solid waste, The cost of sludge treatment is high for its high moisture content, large volume and corrupting easily, accounting 40 to 60% of the entire wastewater process cos. At present the most important issue of sludge treatment is reducing the sludge moisture content effectively. Dewatefing is the most widely used methods to reduce the sludge water content, and usually sludge condition is necessary prior to dewatefing.
