Effect of ozidation method on degradation and mineralization of SMZ
Introduction The wastewater containing pharmaceuticals is continuously discharged into natural environment from pharmaceutical plant, hospital and dweller, which may result in permanent pollution to natural water body as they are used widely. Therefore it is common thing that residual pharmaceuticals are discharged into natural water body. More pharmaceutically active compounds (PhACs) were detected out recently in urban wastewater treatment plant, surface water and waterworks, and human health would be hazarded by them once PhACs appear in drinking water and enter human body, if the PhACs are not treated effectively. So how to treat, even mineralize these pharmaceutical components, like other recalcitrant organic wastewater, has caused peoples attention.
