Ezperimental Measurements of UV Fluence Rate Distribution in a UV Reactor
1 Introduction Ultraviolet (UV) treatment of water is being increasingly used for disinfection of wastewater and drinking water around the world. Because different UV reactors design configurations can greatly impact the efficiency of disinfection, determining optimum design parameters from the measurement is especially significant. However, the direct method for confirmation of the UV fluence in a reactor is still under investigations. One important component of the reactor fluence measurement that should be investigated and verified the fluence rate distribution, which provides detailed information about how UV light enters and transmits through the UV reactor of a given reactor geometry.
