Ezperimental Research on the Effect of Improving the Waste-water Treatment by Mountain-village Cesspool
1 Subject background Generally, there is no sewer line in the villages of Chinas mountain regions, and the popularity of sewage conduit is not possible in the future. With regard to this situation, economic and applicable waste-water treatment facilities should be built in mountain-villages. The three-compartment cesspool that Mi Yun and other counties of Beijing are promoting in the building of new village is a suitable facility for the treatment of excrement waste water in mountain-villages. There are three main differences between the mountain-village three-compartment cesspool and the traditional urban cesspool, only receives toilet wastewater with 1L flushing water each, the ratio of the three compartments is 2:1:3, and the third compartment can be built without anti-osmosis function with the effluent leaking into the earth, and the ones with anti-osmosis function only discharge the post-treatment water to the land below. The measure shows that the concentration of COD and NH3-N in the inflow of the facility is high. The mountain-village three-compartment cesspool may pollute the ground or surface water. Thus, filling was put into the modeling third compartment in this experiment to study its effect on waste-water treatment and explore economiC and effective waste-water treatment approaches.
