Minimizing bromate formation with Ce-MCM-48 during ozonation

1. Introduction Ozone is commonly used for disinfection and organic pollutant oxidation in water treatment. Bromate is a byproduct that is formed during the ozonation of water containing bromide. Bromate is carcinogenic and nephrotoxic. Its minimization or elimination is very important in drinking water treated with ozone.
