PCDD/Fs survey on Taizhou seafood products
1 Background Food safety is a major issue affecting peoples livelihood while the persistent organic pollutants has the cumulative and biological amplification effect on organic food,therefore,survey on organic pollutants on seafood has great significance. Taizhou, with 8 million square kilometers of continental shelf waters and 280 square kilometers of shallow tidal fiats for aquaculture,have very abundant fishery resources,but it is also Chinas major centers of electronic waste dismantling,so investigation on dioxin contamination of seafood in this region is particularly important.In this paper,the dioxin levels in different marine products in Taizhou was detected.We analyzed the organism toxic concentration levels of various dioxins isomers and also their distribution pattern.
