Quinone Redoz Cycling: Study on Mechanism of OH Radical Induced by Airborne Particles
Introduction Quinones, usually formed in burning and PAH degradation, play an important role in the toxicity of airborne panicles by coursing oxide stress, enzyme deactivation and DNA damage. The redox cycling of them,in which ROS are induced,is considered to be the key point of these toxicological effects. In this study,we used 1,4-naphthaquinone(1,4-NQ) as the model quinone and study on the mechanism of OH radical induced by the complex of 1,4-NQ and ascorbic acid.
