Sources of PANs Analysis and Relationship between PANs and O3 in a Suburban Background Site of Pearl River Delta
Peroxyacetyl nitrate (PAN) and peroxypropionyl nitrate (PPN) are important constituents of the atmospheric chemistry and global distribution,constituting the reservoirs of inactive nitrogen oxides (NOx) in high latitude. They are stimulus,mutagens and plants toxins,and play an important role in the regional and global atmospheric tranportation. There have been only limited PANs field studies in Asia especially in mainland China.Pearl River Delta,which is the frontier of Chinese economic reform,located near Hong Kong and Macao. The air quality problems here are regional and complex. This study is a part of Synthesized Prevention Techniques for Air Pollution Complex and Integrated Demonstration in Key City-Cluster Regions (863 Program).
