SERVICE-LIFE PREDICTON OF RC STRUCTURES ON MULTI- ENVIROMENTAL TIME SIMILARITY AND BAYESIAN UPDATING
A dynamic probabilistic method of service life prediction on reinforced concrete (RC) structures is present based on multi-environmental time similarity (METS) and Bayesian updating technique. Indoor accelerated tests about the deterioration of RC structural behaviour and the similarity relationship between natural and accelerated environment are used to estimate the prior parameters of model. Field inspection is further performed to update the input data and improve the accuracy of behaviour and service life evaluation of RC structure. A crossing-sea bridge illustrated the application of this method.
