MAINTENANCE STRATEGY TO OPTIMIZE BRIDGE LIFE-CYCLE COST

摘要：

As researched the cost incurred in the bridge operation and maintenance period is always in a large proportion of the total life-cycle and even far more than the initial construction cost. Therefore in order to optimize the life-cycle cost of the bridge under the acceptable bridge performance the reasonable maintenance strategy is required. In the paper the new development of maintenance management and life-cycle cost are discussed and one case study based on an actual concrete bridge is researched in order to explore the development of the life-cycle cost and to make some recommendations.
