RELIABILITY ANALYSIS OF SERVICEABILITY LIMIT STATE FOR FLEXURAL BEHAVIOR OF RC BEAMS STRENGTHENED WITH PRESTRESSED CFRP SHEETS
The reliability of serviceability limit state is analyzed for the RC beams strengthened with prestressed CFRP sheets based on nonlinear finite element method and weighted regression response surface method (RSM). The effects of some influencing factors, i.e. initial load, prestressing level, CFRP reinforcement ratio and elastic modulus of CFRP on reliability index are studied. The assessments indicate that the reliability of serviceability limit state can be improved efficiently through strengthening prestressed CFRP. The reliability index decreases with the increase of the initial load. And the reliability index increases with the growth of CFRP reinforcement ratio and elastic modulus of CFRP. It’s recommended that the structures be unloaded as much as possible before strengthening with prestressed CFRP sheets, and the CFRP sheets with higher elastic modulus be used to improve the reliability of serviceability limit state.
