WAVELET ANALYSIS AND DENOISING ON LOW STRAIN DYNAMIC TESTING CURVE

Because wavelet analysis has the local characteristics in time domain and frequency domain at the same time, it has shown fine property in the respect of denoising. In this paper, the basic theory of wavelet analysis and process of denoise are introduced. And Daubechies wavelet is applied to remove the noise including the dynamic testing curves which are obtained by method of low strain of pile. By the Mallat algorithm, the testing signal can be decomposed into two parts, i.e., low frequency and high frequency component. The low frequency component can be further decomposed into two parts. And the values which are less than the selected threshold value are replaced by zero in the high frequency component. After several decomposition, the signal is reconstructed low frequency component and processed high frequency component by using same wavelet. In this paper, the hard threshold value method is used to denoise. The example shows that wavelet denoising technology, comparing with butterworth filter, has the fine property of protective amplitude to the raw signal.
