STUDY OF STONE ARCH BRIDGE STRENGTHENING AND MAINTENANCE STRATEGY BASED ON FUZZY DECISION AND MARKOV PROCESS
Stone arch bridge is one of important bridge types in Hunan Province. Many arch bridges in service are inadequate of carrying capacity and in a long term operation with diseases in different degree. To ensure structure safety, the optimization study of strengthening scheme and maintenance strategy after strengthening has an important meaning for guide design and maintenance work. According to different weight vectors for scheme evaluation under multifactor impacting, this paper adopts fuzzy comprehensive judgement method to determine the optimal strengthening scheme of stone arch bridge by maximum subordination principle. Based on markov process theory, mathematical model of maintenance strategy of stone arch bridge and state transition probability matrix under different maintenance strategy are established so as to get the optimal maintenance strategy on the least cost principle. The methods optimize strengthening scheme, prolong the service life of structure, save maintenance cost, and provide a scientific basis for strengthening and maintenance strategy. The research results have been successfully applied to a practical engineering and obtained a favourable effect.
