EXPERIMENTAL AND NUMERICAL ANALYSIS OF STEEL-CONCRETE COMPOSITE SLAB WITH PERFOBOND RIB CONNNECTORS
An experimental study and numerical simulate of the behavior of a steel-concrete composite slab with perfobond rib connectors is presented in this paper. The perfobond rib connector is simply a flat plate with a number of holes punched through. The main objective of this test is to check the composite action between steel and concrete and to describe the connection behavior of perfobond rib connectors. The dimension of the test model is 2400×6000×128mm, and added steel fiber into the concrete slab with 1% volume ratio. The loading test is divided into three steps: service loading, fatigue loading and failure loading. The experiment specimen is modeled using two types of elements from the ANSYS element library. The numerical study is in good agreement with experimental results. It was found from the results that the steel-concrete slab has high strength , good ductile and the perfobond rib connector worked well.
