CREEP EFFECT OF TWICE PRESTRESSED CONCRETE BEAM
This paper firstly introduced the concept of twice prestressed concrete beam, and then formulae were derived to calculate creep strain and deformation of this beam at any time based on Age-adjusted Effective Modulus Method, in which interaction between concrete creep and prestress loss has been taken into account. Finally, a test beam was fabricated to study the creep effect of twice prestressed concrete beam. It is found that the results calculated by formulae were in good agreement with test data from experiment, verifying the correctness of formulae derived by this paper.
