An Approach of Antenna Directing Synchronization for Bistatic SAR Systems
Bistatic synthetic aperture radar (BiSAR) operates with distinct transmitter and receiver that are mounted inside separate platforms.Such a spatial separation provides several operational advantages like reduced vulnerability for military applications and increased radar cross section. However, efficient synchronizations including spatial, time and phase must be provided for BiSAR imaging.Literature search reveals that BiSAR synchronizations, especially spatial synchronization (antenna direction synchronization),are still technical challenges and little work has been reported. As such, this paper just makes a temp. The impact of antenna direction synchronization errors including range dimension and azimuth dimension are analyzed with statistical models.Simulations results show that efficient spatial synchronization is required for BiSAR imaging.Hence, one two-antenna Based antenna directing synchronization is proposed.
