Design and Implementation of an Optical Colposcope Image Database

Uterine cervical cancer has been the second most common cancer in women worldwide in recent years. Optical colposcopy is the primary method used to detect uterine cervical cancer or Cervical Intraepithelial Neoplasia (CIN). In the paper, an optical colposcope image database is developed which contains some additional functions to fulfill the requirements in clinic use. The foundation of this image database is expected to fill up the blank in colposcopic image accumulation and be very helpful in clinic education, preservation of prime data, medical research, consultation online, etc.
