Base-Scale Entropy Based Detection of Sinus Arrhythmias and Atrial Arrhythmias
As reported, the Base-scale Entropy measure can be used to analyze short-term heart rate variability signals. But this study applies the method to detect the cardiac arrhythmias, including sinus and atrial arrhythmias. In this paper, we detect and analyze normal sinus rhythm (NOSR), atrial premature contraction (APC) and sinus bradycardia (SBR) signals. The selected data of NOSR in this study was obtained from the MIT-BIH normal sinus database, while others were from the MIT-BIH arrhythmia database. The results show the Base-scale Entropy can also detect sinus and atrial arrhythmias.
