Research of the Coordination between Industrial Structure and Employment Structure in China

Referring to the similarity coefficient method,this paper defines the concept of coordination coefficient between industrial structure and employment structure,and applies this method to measure the coordination coefficient during 1978-2006 in China as well as all provinces in 2006. The result shows that Chinese industrial structure and employment structure has been in unbalanced since reform and openingup,and the coordination coefficient presents obvious fluctuation. Meanwhile,the coordination coefficient presents the gradient distribution in which it reduces from eastern to western in turn,and the differences among provinces is extremely great
