Controlled Natural Language for Information Integration
The acquisition of knowledge is an important factor for enterprises to stay in competition. In this context, especially the integration of structured and unstructured data is a vital task and has been subject to research for many years. Opposed to other integration strategies,we propose an architecture that relies on first-order logic as a semantical foundation. Using a Controlled Natural Language, which is a first-order logic equivalent subset of natural language, further enables the user to be involved in the process of information integration and thus creates the essential transparency.
