The ezamination of the role of desired organizational capabilities (DOCs) in readiness for implementing of BPR
The purpose of this paper is to propose how to enhance the chance of success implementation of BPR by measuring required capabilities and fill the gap in the literature on decreasing risk in BPR projects by introducing a BPR readiness and implementing assessment approach. For this purpose,the paper proposes a self-assessment approach and generic questionnaire for readiness and implementing in BPR efforts based on the desired organizational capabilities (DOCs). A relevant literature review,which investigates required capabilities in BPR efforts,is carried out and a new categorized list of indicators are proposed. Readiness and implementing indicators are determined based on DOCs. These indicators include twenty one categories. so,this paper reports survey results indicating BPr readiness and implementing in three Iranian organizations. After comparing the position of the three cases,the paper offers several guidelines for amplifying the success points and decreasing failure points and hence,increasing the rate of success before and during implementation.
