Structure and mechanical properties of welded joints of reduced activation austenitic steels
In our work was studed structure, mechanical properties and weld joints reduced activation anstenitic Cr-Mn steels with con rain carbon 0.035,0.1 and 0.25%.Gas-tungsten-arc (GTA) weld joints were made from Cr12Mn20W steels with the carbon content 0.04,0.1 and 0.25% and additions of Ti(0.1%) and B (0.0045). The effects of the temperature, long annealing (LA) and post weld long annealing (PWLA) at 400 and 600℃ up to 5000 h on mechanical properties and impact toughness of the base material (BM),weld material (WM) and weld joints(WJ) were examined.Mechanical properties of weld joints have a sufficiently high level al though they are worse than that of basic material.Fracture of the weld joints as a rule happens throughout the basic metal.Post-weld long annealing (PWLA) practically does not have worsen of the mechanical properties of the weld joints regardless of carbon content in steel. Annealing at 600 ℃/1000 h leads to brittleness of basic metal and welds for all steels.Micrestructure of the base metal (BM),weld metal (WM) and heat affected zone (HAZ) is consided.
